My BFF Joanna bought me this beautiful smelling perfume by Vera Wang. The bottle is totally gorgeous, pink and glittery and it smells like candy. I personally prefer sweet smelling perfumes as to the flowery ones. this one smells like your in a sweet shop..it's quite heavenly.. the crown rings on top of the bottle are so pretty too, you can actually remove them and wear them. This is currently my favourite perfume.. (alongside "The One" by Dolce & Gabbana) ..just in case any of you want to buy me a gift... LOL ;-)
It's all about Kilim!! Kilim rugs, Killim bags, Killim boots... This Kilim bag is form Morocco, I'd be lying if I said I remember who bought it for me, and that goes to show just how many bags one owns.. *shameful*
LOVE this shop in Lakeside.. the way they've everything laid out is gorg!! but the best thing about Forever 21 is the bargains.. it's a "non bank breaker"..
So, I was walking through a shopping centre yesterday with my friend and I happened to hear one of the shops blasting out a Diana Ross song. This afternoon I was asking myself.. "Why the hell have I got a Diana Ross song stuck in my head on repeat?!".. Since yesterday, the song I heard has been on constant repeat and rotation in my head. Playing over and over again and to be honest with you it started to drive me insane. And that is the power of music. Music has the power to penetrate the mind. It is so powerful it can affect your mood. Hearing certain songs, can make you cry, make you smile, make you think and so on. It can also have a physical and psychological effect on a person and can evoke certain emptions. Socrates once said "when the soul hears music it drops its' best guard"...
part 2 coming soon...
When a child stabs his teacher in front of the whole class and kills her, you know something is seriously wrong with this youth... you know society is starting to go down the pan.. these youths disgust me, they have no morals, no respect for their parents, no respect for their teachers.. its disgusting... This story was on the news today, the boy is just 15 years old. He killed his teacher in front of the whole classroom.
Why was he carrying a knife? why was he so angry? what gave him the confidence to carry out such a malicious act so brazenly in front of everyone? Something is seriously wrong with this situation. Children from the western world are so spoilt, they have everything they could want and still want more. They have access to so much material and so many opportunities. Many children in Africa have nothing in comparison. If only these youths knew how lucky they really are.
They're too easily influenced by their peer groups, TV, music videos, video games, films, drugs, alcohol and dysfunctional parents. (Not all parents are dysfunctional off course.)
Children are bombarded constantly with images of violence, on their TV screens, in video games, in music videos and violence and gang culture is often glorified and praised.
Education and respect starts within the home from a very early age. The parents are the first teachers for a child. Children are like sponges, they absorb everything from an early age and the parents have a duty of care to be responsible as to what they expose their children to from an early age, how they raise them etc.
Situations like this are horrifying. This boy had his whole life ahead of him. Not only has he now ruined his entire life and indeed his family's life, he has tragically ruined the life of the innocent victim's family who will now have to live with this tragedy forever. And for what ..... a moment of madness? a moment of anger? a moment of rage?
In the age of technology, ignorance is a choice... And if you choose to be ignorant you only have yourself to blame. So unless you still live in the dark ages, it's your responsibility to seek knowledge and progress. Knowledge equals power, so the more you know, the more powerful you are.
The authentic Bible and the Quran are in actual fact very similar. Things such as people shouldn't eat swine, shouldn't tattoo their skin, love thy neighbour, women should dress modestly etc, appear in both books. So the religions are closer than people really think and there are many more similarities between the two.
On another note, people nowadays celebrate anything and everything, even when they don't really know why they are celebrating and what it's all about. People confuse Paganism with Christianity. Ask yourself why you celebrate Easter? What do bunny rabbits and eggs have to do with it? Why do people give their children Easter eggs? How do these things relate to the "death of Jesus?".. It is claimed that Jesus died and was risen on the third day, very similar to the solstice stays still rising on the third??
Halloween is the celebration of all things evil. It's the night that celebrates the dark side. It's a night where people celebrate by dressing up and partying, but what they don't know is that this is a very evil event and holds a darker deeper meaning. Why do people celebrate evil without questioning it? surly participating in such an event and getting children to do the same is wrong? Think about it...
So.... before you celebrate something? do your research first and understand what you are really celebrating.
This picture touched my heart... a man making shoes out of old tyres... he'll measure people's feet and then make them shoes to measure.. and we have the audacity to complain about silly little things, like how hard our lives are.. we don't realise just how lucky we really are... we are blessed and we should NOT take anything for granted no matter how small..This man is a true hard worker.
Name ONE person ...speaker or public preacher that can do what Zakir Naik does?... he can quote from MEMORY ANY verse ...chapter and page number from the Bible, the Quran and all the Hindu scriptures... PLUS he will take random questions from the audience ..so he cannot revise or prepare himself in advance ... and has NEVER been unable to answer a question in his public speeches ...so in my own words...AMAZING and credits due where they are rightly deserved. You can catch Zakir on his channel Peace TV on Sky TV channel number 820.
