I'm actually not sure how to start this post.
I have been thinking about this brutal murder since it happened and it has caused me much unrest. It was barbaric, evil and totally unbelievable. A Police Officer called to an 'incident' placed his knee on the black man's neck, his name was George Floyd, and remained there whilst the poor victim was handcuffed and at his total mercy. This happened in broad day light with a group of people witnessing it and filming it on their phones. They screamed and shouted for the officer to stop, he seemed oblivious to their demands, he remained unphased unbothered by his actions and the fact that he was being filmed for the world to see, pushing his knee down harder onto the mans neck in full view of an audience of angry observers who were mortified by what they were witnessing before them. As the minutes ticked past and the officer continued his cold bloodied murder, George Floyd, the victim, pleaded and pleaded for his release even calling the officer 'sir'. He pleaded for water, he repeated that he couldn't breathe over and over again, and he called out for his dead mother. This was a grown man, it now transpires he was a 'gentle giant'. After the minutes passed reaching close to 8 minutes, George Floyd started to lose consciousness, had a nose bleed and lost control of his bowels, his eyes closed and he slipped away in full view of not only those who were watching in horror, but now the whole world.
How could such a horrific incident happen like this in full view of the world. Why did this evil police officer commit such a barbaric atrocity, a cold bloodied murder and take away a man's life just like that with no care at all, there are hundreds of questions rolling around in people's minds, so many questions remain unanswered. The world is in total horror. The world is angry, frustrated, confused, appalled.
Riots, and peaceful protests have broken out, the world has put Covid 19 on the back burner for the minute, as they stand together to demand answers and justice for George Floyd and the many other black men who have been victims of police brutality. The blatant racism that still exists in our century which should have been eliminated so many years ago.
None of us will truly know why this evil man committed such a horrific crime for the world to see. He was definitely a racist, a man with some serious issues a man who clearly harbours anger and hatred towards people of a different skin colour to his. A cold bloodied Murderer.
As the world mourns George Floyd and others like him, we have to take a moment to stand together.
RACISM HAS NO PLACE ON THIS EARTH.
We're all human beings and our differences make the world colourful and beautiful. We have to make a serious stand against this fascism and racism that still lives inside so many people. We have to put an end to this barbaric police brutality.
We have to pray for justice, unity, peace and calm, we have to pray for change and equality.
RIP to George Floyd and all the others that have suffered in the hands of racist monsters who feel they have the right to take away someone's life because their skin colour is darker then theirs.
Today, 2nd June 2020, we show our respect, solidarity and our support by adding a plain black picture to our social media profiles, and remember those that have suffered in then hands of racist murderers and show that we stand together to fight this united.
Black Lives Matter.
No Justice No Peace
